Character produces self-sufficiency, goal orientation, and law-abiding citizens in society. With this in mind, For the Love of You, Inc. serves as a catalyst to educate youth on the importance of acquiring proper hair care instruction and adopting a maintenance regiment that ultimately shapes a positive image of "self". For the Love of You, Inc. seeks to empower disadvantaged youth and show marked improvement in the following areas: - Increased awareness of personal hair care hygiene; - Increased self esteem, self respect, and self worth; - Training for proper etiquette, dressing for success, and self imaging; - Increased regard for themselves and others around them; - Implement & Execute Non-violent conflict resolution techniques; - Enables independent thinking towards aspirations and formulating life goals The success of For the Love of You, Inc. can be attributed to the coordination of internal efforts regarding sound fiscal management and the collaboration of a network comprised of south Florida professionals and non-traditional service providers. Another factor of success within our organization is the mentorship component entitled, "C.H.A.T" (Confidence, Harness, Assurance & Trust) which offers an opportunity for children to voice their concerns in an open forum, without judgment. Every effort is made to provide this population with opportunities to interact and engage with hair care professionals through mentoring, shadowing, and in some instances, possible part-time employment. All program activities are designed to maximize personal growth and development by way of the health and beauty industry. As a champion of child advocacy programs, For the Love of You, Inc. graciously seeks support through several opportunities.
